Terms of Service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This is a translation. If it differs from the Traditional Chinese version, the Traditional Chinese version applies.

These terms cover your rights and responsibilities when you download, install or use the Paperle app (Windows, iPhone and iPad), the website and the related licensing service.

1. The service

Paperle provides notes, reminders, local data management, Google Drive sync, note sharing and PRO features by subscription. Some features need an internet connection, an Apple or Google account, or an active subscription.

2. Accounts and security

Provide accurate information and keep the account you sign in with and your devices secure. Do not impersonate others, share licenses that are not meant to be shared, or get around service limits through automation, reverse engineering or other means, except where the law expressly allows it.

3. Free plan and PRO

Free features are provided as shown in the app at the time. PRO is an auto-renewing subscription; its price, period and features are shown clearly before you pay. Unless canceled, it renews for the period you chose.Your first subscription includes a 1-month free trial. Cancel during the trial and you will not be charged; after the trial, unless you have canceled, the plan you chose is charged automatically. On iPhone and iPad the trial is provided by Apple, which decides eligibility under its rules.

4. Payment and cancellation

Desktop payments are processed by Polar as the Merchant of Record; cancel the way Polar provides. Subscriptions bought on iPhone or iPad are processed by Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms; manage or cancel them in your Apple Account subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid renewal. Cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the current billing period and does not refund what you have paid. Refunds follow the Refund Policy, the payment provider's terms and applicable law.

5. Your content and sharing

You keep the rights to, and responsibility for, your notes. Do not use Paperle to store or send illegal, infringing or malicious content. When you share a note, make sure you may share what it contains; invited members can view or edit it according to their role. Keep reasonable backups of important data.

6. License

As long as you follow these terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software. The Paperle name, interface, code and brand assets are protected by intellectual property rights.

7. Changes and termination

We may change features for security, legal, compatibility or product reasons. In cases of fraud, payment disputes, refund abuse or a serious breach, we may suspend or end the related PRO license.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it stable but do not promise it will never be interrupted or that data will never be lost. This does not limit consumer rights or statutory liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

We will announce significant changes on the website or in the app. If you keep using the service after they take effect, you accept the updated terms, except where the law requires separate consent.
