1. Bought on iPhone or iPad (App Store)
App Store subscriptions are paid to Apple, so we cannot refund them directly. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple decides whether to approve it. The points below apply to subscriptions bought in the desktop app through Polar.
2. Canceling is not a refund
Canceling only stops the next renewal. Unless a refund is approved, you keep PRO until the end of the current billing period.
3. When you can ask for a refund
- A duplicate charge or an obvious billing error.
- A technical problem kept you from using PRO after paying, and we could not fix it within a reasonable time.
- Your account was used without permission, and we have confirmed it.
- Other cases where the law requires a refund.
4. When to ask
Please ask within 7 days of your first purchase. You can still ask later; whether we approve depends on the situation, your usage, Polar's rules and applicable law.
5. When a refund may be refused
- You used the service for most of the billing period and only forgot to cancel.
- Repeated requests, suspected fraud, refund abuse or a breach of the Terms of Service.
- The problem is with a device, network or third-party account while Paperle itself works normally.
- Expectations that differ from the published feature descriptions.
None of this affects rights you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
6. Full and partial refunds
After a full refund, the related PRO access ends immediately. A partial refund usually does not end PRO for the rest of the period; we explain the details when we approve it. Refunds never delete your local notes or existing media.
7. How to ask
Email support@paperle.site with the email you bought with, the order number, purchase date, plan and reason. Never send your full card number or security code.
8. Processing time
We review your request once we have everything we need. After approval, when the money arrives depends on Polar, the payment method and your bank.
9. Polar and your legal rights
Polar may approve or refuse refunds on its own for legal, fraud-prevention or chargeback reasons; see Polar's Buyer Terms. This policy does not limit any refund or consumer rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.
